As an Accountant in São Paulo (Brazil) you will join a diverse, passionate team, dedicated to making possibilities happen in the payments industry!
Job Summary :
- Develops, implements and/or maintains one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, etc.
- Provides record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions.
- May prepare federal, state and local reports and tax returns.
- May be involved in reviewing, tracking and maintaining information in the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and other accounting regulations.
- Ensures payroll is processed with speed and accuracy.
- Assists with third party payroll system implementations and upgrades.
- Works directly with employees to resolve outstanding payroll inquiries.
- Ensures timely and accurate input of employee status and pay changes from employee, other departments, etc.
- Interprets pay policies, (e.g., vacation, workers compensation, government regulations, withholding exemptions, etc.) and ensures appropriate amounts/deductions are calculated and applied to the various accounts correctly.
- Ensures company compliance with government mandated payroll requirements.
- Stay current with changes in the law.
- May prepare tax reports and related documentation.
- Documents payroll processes and procedures.
- Prepares payroll-related journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations. Prepares and creates standard and ad hoc reports
Job Responsibilities:
- Understand and Adhere to all Corporate Policies to include but not limited to ACI Code of Ethics and Global Information Security.
- Performs accounting functions for various general ledger accounts which involves the preparation of journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Alerts management of potential internal control issues or non-compliance with policy.
- Completes special accounting projects assigned by management.
- Calculates and enters domestic payroll data into payroll systems.
- Accounts for payroll transactions and reconciles related general ledger accounts.
- Monitors and ensures compliance with company policy, payroll tax, and employment laws.
- Maintains payroll records.
- Provides customer service to employees with payroll related questions.
- Provides internal and external audit deliverables.
- Prepares and creates standard and ad hoc reports
- Prepares tax reports
- Responsible for other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountant
- Experience in IFRS (NIIF)
- 5+ years related experience.
- Experience in preparing Tax reports
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including EXCEL and Word
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle confidential information.
- Bilingual – English Desirable knowledge in Siigo accounting software
