Duties and responsibilities:

- Design and oversee the construction of port facilities, including docks, piers, breakwaters, cargo storage yards, and warehouses.
- Manage physical and systemic interfaces between the various construction contracts, construction disciplines and infrastructure elements.
- Conduct site analysis, feasibility studies, and prepare engineering plans and reports.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure project integration.
- Supervise construction, ensuring safety and compliance with design specifications.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
- Ensure adherence to environmental, safety, and quality standards.
- Provide technical support during construction and maintenance phases.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
- Strong understanding of port operations and construction, including cargo handling, logistics, coastal engineering, port utilities, and general construction methods.
- Proficiency in engineering design software (Auto CAD, Civil 3D, or similar).
- Knowledge of relevant international standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM) and regulations in port construction.
- Experience in project and construction management, including budget control, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to address complex engineering challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and work in varying environmental conditions.
- All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171
Majority of work is office based. Some site visits may be required which may necessitate navigating unpaved or natural terrain while carrying equipment.
