Novelis’ Pinda plant is the company’s largest facility in South America. Located in Pindamonhangaba state of Sao Paulo – Brazil between the two most active production and consumption regions in the country the facility employs approximately 1200 people. To reach the growth expected in the region the plant recently announced a new expansion to increase its rolling and recycling operations and offers premium aluminum sheets for beverage cans architecture packaging automotive and transportation among others. Novelis is committed to the Pinda community through its ongoing support of environmental and education projects as well as volunteer activities with a number of local organizations.
