A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Required Knowledge and Experience:
General understanding of healthcare industry and Advanced Spanish are nice to have.
- Contribute to local market external communications planning and execution in collaboration with Brazil and Americas Leadership Team, aligned to sub-region’s business priorities and overall Communications strategy for Americas
- Manage communication initiatives to enhance and protect the organization’s reputation, including media relations and information dissemination; and writing and editing messages, event scripts, speeches, key documents, promotional materials, and press releases
- Manage local issues and crises, public relations, and patient advocacy while identifying roles and timelines with the Global Regions Communications Centre Of Excellence and close collaboration with relevant Functional Partners
- Drive business outcomes particularly by designing and executing communications and patient advocacy plans/strategies in support of market development and access plans
- Support key product launches in the subregion that support overall positioning of Medtronic, favor therapy adoption & promote value proposition of synergies
- Assess new products and regional product appeals, advising on marketing strategies with corporate brands
- Enhance partnerships and account-based communications for Strategic Accounts to strengthen Medtronic’s value proposition with key customers
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor's in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or a related field
- Master and/or specialization in organizational communication or equivalent required
- Fluent in English and Portuguese, both written and verbal
- Minimum of 7 years relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
- Experience developing, executing, and measuring strategic communications initiatives and campaigns that deliver results; and expertise managing project timelines and budgets
- Knowledge and understanding of both traditional and emerging communications channels, including social media and other digital platforms
General understanding of healthcare industry and Advanced Spanish are nice to have.
