- Plastics: With new technology trends, our plastic additives can be experienced in many everyday items including vinyl, blow-molding bottles, film, rigid containers, PVC plastics, siding, decks and rails, foam pipes and profile formulations, window frames and high-efficiency lubricants.
- Industrial intermediates: As the product of a reaction that is beneficial when used as a precursor chemical for another product, industrial intermediates can take on many shapes and forms. Ours are used in home comfort and appliance, building and construction, adhesives and lubricants, and more.
- Coatings: Whether it’s a water-based coating or solvent-based coating, a thin film is deposited on materials to enhance specific properties such as enhanced performance, durability, aesthetics, and sustainability.
- Silicone businesses: Our silicone-based materials can withstand more demanding applications, from those operating at extreme temperatures, to those under harsh environmental conditions for long periods of time.
Dow has an opportunity for a Brazil Corporate Communications Leader, located in São Paulo – SP (BRA).
Responsibilities – Duties, projects, tasks, and activities you would be responsible for in this role

Develops and implements integrated, multi-channel internal and external communications plans and programs to build a consistent positive brand for Dow, develop trustful relationships, and secure acceptance and support from key stakeholders in support of business objectives and priorities

Leads a team of managers and specialists who are responsible for executing the communications strategies in Brazil

Counsels and partners with business and functional leadership
-
Provides counsel and coaching to country leadership with regards to effective communication to key stakeholder groups

Ensures consistency in messaging

Ensures proper representation of Dow in external fora, associations and events. Identifies and implements high-impact speaking opportunities to position Dow as a thought and industry leader and showcase business success stories

Drives successful and coordinated delivery of policy outcomes and regulatory advocacy

Monitors and analyses political developments, coordinates Company’s position and response
-
Develops and manages implementation of programs to enable targeted leader engagement with diverse employee groups
-
Manages communication plans and activities around mergers & acquisitions and other processes
-
Manages communications around issues and handling of crisis communications with regards to crisis prevention and crisis management

Manages community outreach programs (including CSR) and related communication activities
-
Accountable for functional budget and resources in the country/region
Requirements:
-
Bachelor's Degree
-
A minimum of 15 years of professional experience in communications
-
Experience leading people
-
Ability to gain respect and trust quickly with wide variety of colleagues and clients, and influence positions on issues
-
Experience with issues and crisis management
-
Understanding and knowledge of modern communications technologies; ability to write and edit various types of communications utilizing a variety of communication channels
-
Strong interpersonal skills, team player
-
Strong organizational skills and business acumen
-
Ability to see the larger business picture and have a sound perspective on the key stakeholders and engagement strategies

Ability to effectively handle multiple and competing priorities

Fluent English is needed, Spanish is desirable

Willingness to travel, both domestically and internationally
