Job Summary
Responsible for the supervision of all Quality and Color Development lab activities including raw material and finished goods evaluation, new color developments and small sampling. Also responsible for ISO 9001 accreditation relating to color and quality operations, management of all lab requests and issue resolution process support.


How You Can Be the Impact

• Coordinates the operational activities of the Quality Assurance Laboratory, involving management and reporting of lab KPI’s, root cause investigation of internal and external non-conformances in raw materials, finished products. Ensures that quality & safety rules and applicable regulations are followed in the laboratory;

• Works with and support other manufacturing or production personnel in the assessment of materials that do not meet the requirements; makes recommendations to rework the material so it can be used;

• Procure lab materials, equipments and overall improvements to our laboratory, with previous authorization from the Quality and Plant Managers;

• Oversees and manages staffing for Quality Lab. Sets priorities based on work planning and goals. Adjusts staffing to reflect changing priorities. Trains workforce, manages overtime, and addresses employee satisfaction concerns;

• Ensures that the ISO 9001 Quality management procedures, quality internal controls and applicable OMS standards are followed. Focal point in case of internal or external quality audits;

• Participates in organizational activities and programs such as EHSS and Continuous Improvement initiatives. Participates in activities and functions required for the Integrated Management System, Corporate programs, local certifications and applicable legislation;

• Manages lab requests and prioritization, new color developments and small sampling to our internal customers. Also is the focal point for UL audits, leading the process of FUS submission and non-conformance investigation.

What Matters to SABIC

• Graduation in Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years experience in successfully managing teams.
• Advanced level of English skills (fluent is a plus).
• Solid knowledge of quality and color development processes.
• Demonstrated quality systems related tools skills (8D, MSA, ISO 9001).
• Knowledge of production processes and our SABIC ETP products.
