Job Summary:


Under the direction of the Controller, this position is responsible for reviewing and updating accounting and payroll processes and procedures.
Typical Duties:

• Compile all accounting and payroll related procedures and highlight them for review and updates.
• Assist and review the accounts receivable process and update the process manuals.
• Assist and review the rent collection process and update the process manuals.
• Assist and review the trust disbursements, account opening/closing, fees collection and bank reconciliation processes and update the process manuals.
• Assist and review the accounts payable process and update the process manuals.
• Assist and review the cash and cheques deposits process and update the process manuals.
• Assist, review and update the accounting standard operating procedures.
• Assists in ad-hoc tasks when assigned.

Job Qualifications:
The successful candidate must be enrolled in a post-secondary accounting program. The candidate must be attending school (3 classes or more) while working in this position. Ideally you have completed the 1st year of a recognized Accounting Program.
Ability to provide or obtain:

• WHIMIS certification

• Ministry of Justice Criminal Record Clearance
