Job Responsibilities:

• Teach Mentorhood Math curriculum (Singapore Math) classes to small groups, Grade 6 to 12.
• Prepare lesson materials, games, worksheets, mark homework and update progress.
• Maintain on-going communications with parents.
• Free regular Online Teacher Trainings are provided. (Flexible hours)

Requirements

• Eligible to legally work in Canada
• Bachelor’s degree and / or OCT certified
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Must attend and pass the Free Mentorhood Teacher Training Online (minimum of 3 hours)
• Display a positive attitude and rapport with students
• Must be able to provide an up to date security clearance/background check
• Tutor must be available on:

Wed 5-7pm (Markham); Tuesday and Thursday 4-7pm (Richmond Hill)

• Have experience teaching or participating in Math competitions: Math Kangaroo (Canadian / US) is an advantage.
• Have experience or willing to teach Kindergarten to Grade 5 children is an advantage.
• Native Mandarin Speaker is an advantage.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Freelance
Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
