ABOUT THE POSITION:
We are currently seeking a talented Assistant Warehouse Manager to join our team in Calgary, AB. The Assistant Warehouse Manager will assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient handling, storage, and distribution of HVAC sheet metal parts and other products. This role supports the Distribution Manager in optimizing workflows, maintaining inventory accuracy, and driving safety and compliance initiatives. The Assistant Warehouse Manager will also be responsible for the warehouse staff, improving productivity, and ensuring timely order fulfillment.

DUTIES:

• Assist in managing warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, and packing of inventory.
• Ensure smooth and timely distribution of products to branches, customers, and manufacturing units.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records in the ERP system.
• Support inventory cycle counts and periodic physical inventories to ensure stock accuracy..
• Supervise warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Ensure that all staff adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to staff to improve performance and productivity.

ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
• 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in the HVAC or manufacturing industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of ERP systems (experience with TMS, or other logistics systems is a plus).
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
