The Basin Business Advisors (BBA) Program has a renewed focus to provide businesses with digital and traditional business supports, self-service options, and enhanced programing to help them succeed in our unique region of British Columbia. The BBA Program was created in 2000 by the Columbia Basin Trust to build economic capacity in Basin communities by strengthening and supporting existing businesses. Since its launch, the Trust has delivered services to more than 2,500 businesses through BBA. Position Overview
As the Basin Business Program Navigator, you will play a key leadership role in the successful recruitment, needs assessment, and onboarding of new and existing clients of the program. Your organized and methodical attitude to working with business owners and entrepreneurs will leverage your consulting approach to develop a program delivery plan for each client and ensure that they have a rewarding experience with the BBA team.
Using your people-first mentality, you will contribute to the atmosphere of trust and cooperation within our company. You will serve as a committed team player, possessing a flexibility and eagerness to jump in and offer support wherever needs/opportunities arise.
Job Duties
- Responds to inquiries regarding the BBA program
- Completes business assessments of new clients
- Coordinates external consulting services delivery and cost-sharing with clients
- Works with existing BBA clients to transition to the new program
- Refers businesses and entrepreneurs to other Trust business support services and initiatives
- Maintains relationships with other Trust programs and external partners
- Tracks status of referrals and follows up as needed
- Supports the development and execution of processes and tools to automate routine tasks and to improve efficiency.
- Supports the entire BBA team to ensure client satisfaction is maintained
- Responsible and drives satisfaction scores and measurable metrics that are reported to the Trust
- Maintains and expands relationships with our external referral partners
- Measures and reports metrics to Program Lead and BBA Team
- Supports and maintains Client User Portal in collaboration with our education team
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Enthusiasm for meeting clients in a variety of circumstances and skill levels
- Experience in a variety of industries and trades
- Ability to connect with business owners and entrepreneurs to quickly understand and assess needs
- Strong multi-tasking and organization skills to focus on serving multiple clients and stakeholders at once
- Self motivated and excels in independent working environments
- Three years in an advisory or company operations environment
- Experience in an entrepreneurial or supporting environment
- Knowledge of existing business programs and supports available in the Columbia Basin region
- Post Secondary education a plus
- Permanent resident within the Columbia Basin region (see a map at ourtrust.org/about/basin-map/) and eligible to work in Canada
The BBA team works virtually throughout the Columbia Basin region. We provide you with all the tools you need to get the job done in your home office. Some travel and in-person meetings may be required as part of your duties serving BBA clients.
Compensation
This is a career position offering a permanent, full-time role at 37.5 hours/week with a starting annual salary between $52,700- $55,335
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $27.02-$28.37 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
