Job Description

Bellperson - Full Time

Always lending a helping hand with a smile. As a Bellperson, your passion for the property, knowledge of our hotel and city, and the professionalism you display will ensure our guests feel welcome as soon as they arrive.
What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Bell Captain, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Providing all arriving guests with a warm welcome, and acting as a first and last point of contact for guests
  • Responsible for the delivery of Guest’s to their room, luggage, messages and any other items for delivery within the hotel
  • Ensure the timely and efficient transfer of luggage to and from the guest’s room
  • Personalize guests’ orientation of their room in a professional, friendly and engaging way
  • Keeping Door area and Lobby impeccable at all times
  • Knowledgeable of Vancouver, our attractions, directions, cultural scene, etc.
  • Maintain presence in the lobby as an ambassador of our hotel and brand, providing thoughtful touches and offering exceptional service to our guests
  • Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
  • Follow department policies, procedures and service standards, including all safety policies
  • Responsible for driving the hotel car to shuttle guests around Vancouver as required

Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:

  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License required
  • Previous customer related experience required
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional presentation
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Ability to work a variety of of shifts, including but not limited to mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, overtime shifts and holidays
  • Ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles an asset

Visa Requirements:
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
