We work on work permits (including entrepreneurs), study permits, visitor visas, permanent residency (provincial and federal).

ABOUT THE POSITION
As a Bilingual French/English Lawyer, you will be responsible for handling files from consultation to submission. You will be responsible for setting up immigration strategies with little to no supervision, client communication, document review, legal writing and maintaining high customer service standards.
EXPECTATIONS
After the first 3 months
· Independently manage cases with little to no supervision
· Be able to lead consultations with clients and determine the immigration strategy
· Stay informed on changes/updates in Canadian immigration policies and laws, ensuring clients receive accurate advice
After the first 6 months
· Continuously improve internal processes and documentation
· Start bringing clients in through business development (word of mouth, social media, networking)
· Supervise assistants you may be working with.
· Meet the monthly/yearly billing targets

· Ease of communication: demonstrate effective communication verbally and in writing in both, French and English. Proactively communicate with clients
· Good research and analytical skills: continuously look for existing immigration programs, program updates and undertake legal research

· Ability to efficiently work on multiple cases simultaneously and coordinate activities to ensure that projects milestones are achieved

· Critical thinker: tailor each application to the uniqueness of each client’s background
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
· Active membership and in good standing with a Canadian Bar Association
· Fully Bilingual French/English
· 1-2 years of experience in Canadian immigration law

SALARY
· Range between $60,000 to $85,000 per year commensurate with experience + bonus as a percentage on the files you bring in.
