Activate is a tech company known for creating Canada’s first full-scale interactive gaming facility. We are experiencing significant expansion, and are looking to expand our team with the addition of a Buyer. The successful candidate will be well-versed in production, inventory, and purchasing procedures and ways to optimize them. This is a full-time, permanent position.
The Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review ERP/MRP purchase suggestions, generate, and submit purchase orders
- Facilitate purchasing requests across various departments
- Facilitate ad hoc requests, assisting with pricing and lead time discussions
- Communicate shipping updates from suppliers to various stakeholders
- Communicate pricing updates from suppliers to various stakeholders
- Update and maintain ERP purchasing modules with customer and pricing information
- Participate in quality control and vendor assessments
- Assist with maintaining purchasing lists
- Produce relevant reports as required
The Qualifications:
- 1-2 years in a related field
- Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
- Excellent communication abilities with an ability to build positive working relationships
- Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues previously undetected
