JOB OVERVIEW
An exciting opportunity to join a team of dedicated and experienced professionals is now available in our Stores Department! The Stores/ALSES Clerk position is a unique opportunity and training is provided. This position reports to the Stores Supervisor and is responsible for providing a high level of customer service in key areas such as materials handling, materials stocking, and materials staging as well as other important responsibilities listed below.
REQUIREMENTS
The Stores support position is responsible for the following key areas:
Materials Handling

• Locating, issuing and restocking Consumable and Rotable parts and supplies as requested by company personnel. This involves:

• Utilizing company software programs
• Issuing material to specified projects
• Core processing
  • Issuing & returning tooling. When trained, routing damaged tooling to the tool crib with supporting documentation

Materials Stocking

• Ensuring accurate stocking and restocking of all stores materials

• Preparing materials for stocking – including packaging and labeling
• Create shipping and receiving labels
• Unloading inventory carts and stocking materials
• Annual inventory count

Materials Staging

• Ensuring requested materials are pulled and prepared for delivery
• Filling internal shop work card requests
• Filling other counter stock orders
• Processing the Aircraft support bench requests
• Regular housekeeping of counters, floors, shelves and staff work areas

Inspections

• Perform inspections on survival kits and first aid kits
• Perform inspections on flight helmets utilized by pilots
• ALSE maintenance and inspections

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE or SKILLS

• Grade 12 diploma
• Able to work a rotating shift (daytime and evening)
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Able to work effectively independently
• Strong initiative and multi-tasking skills
• Strong sense of urgency and accuracy
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with MS Office programs and Internet
• Must be able to work overtime as required
• Must be physically fit:
  • lifting aircraft parts and supplies up to approximately 50 lbs
  • constant reaching and bending to shelves
  • climbing step ladders and stairs regularly to retrieve parts from the higher shelves
  • Must be able to move/respond quickly to job requirements
• Previous work experience in a customer service
• Previous experience in parts environment would be an asset
• Must be willing to travel occasionally for training
• Ability to obtain and maintain Public Works and Government Services Enhanced Reliability Clearance.
