Position Details
The Claims Coordinator is responsible for assisting customers and broker partners through the First Notice of Loss process, general claims inquiries as well as customer complaints procedure.
What You Will Do

• Completing the new claim intake process for all lines of business (personal, commercial, and specialty) through telephone contact with Echelon members
• Corresponding with adjusters, vendor partners, and other departments within the company to ensure all necessary documents and claim information is accessible
• Manage the Customer Inquiry Queue to respond to customer and broker inquiries and complaints
• Organizing claim’s services- authorizing and assigning services through Echelon vendor partners (rentals, appraisals, and tows) for newly created claims to ensure member satisfaction
• Other duties as assigned

Who You Are

• Post secondary education required
• CIP/FCIP Insurance Institute of Ontario- Completed or In Progress
• Minimum 1 years of customer service and administrative experience
• Claims intake experience preferred
• Strong communication skills, ability to support customers and broker partners to address concerns and diffuse challenging conversations
• Familiarity with phone queue and call handling procedures
• Multi-tasking with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities
