ABOUT THE ROLE

As an important part of the Accounting team, you will verify and post accounts receivable transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records and manages collection activities. As a Entry Level Collection Clerk, some of your responsibilities will be:

• Collect payments for assigned accounts receivable portfolios.
• Manage, perform and document collection calls on overdue accounts.
• Reconcile assigned accounts, investigate discrepancies, and manage month end account adjustments.
• Manage the customer statement process, send invoices to customers and follow up with customer requests.
• Prepare head office bank deposits.
• Update customer portfolios as needed.
• Prepare various reports as required.
• Complete other administrative or accounting duties as needed.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Prior credit and collections experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in an Accounting/Administrative capacity.
• Energetic and friendly with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and organize workload in a fast paced environment.
• Prior knowledge of CDK and collections experience considered an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail with the drive to meet tight deadlines
• Knowledge and experience with MS Word and Excel.
