The position Corporate Counsel - Canada provides strategic legal advice and opinions on a diverse range of organizational issues with a particular focus on commercial / construction services contract interpretation and negotiation, litigation and claims management, employment and labor issues, privacy compliance and commercial leasing. This role may also be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to contract professionals in the future.

We are looking for a lawyer that enjoys a broad range of challenges, that can easily relate to employees of all levels of our organization and who can also interact competently in negotiations with customers and third parties. The right candidate will be a contributing member of a busy legal team comprised of contracts professionals, paralegals, legal assistants, and others. In addition to an undergraduate degree, the position requires a Law Degree and membership, in good standing, in the applicable provincial Law Society. A minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a lawyer, with previous in-house or business experience considered an asset. Experience with industrial service companies, industrial or construction issues, either through litigation or contract negotiation is preferred.
