JOB Description
At Shakespeare Mills Inc., our success depends on people, productivity, and procedures. The customer service representative is a supportive force in each of these areas, and we’re currently seeking someone to take the reins. As a member of our sales team, the customer service representative is responsible for addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring overall satisfaction for customers. They often handle various tasks such as answering calls, and e-mails, processing orders, handling complaints, and offering guidance on products or services, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
This position is 100% on-site
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Order Processing: Efficiently processing orders, including accurately recording customer requirements, quantities, delivery schedules, and any special instructions.
2. Product Knowledge: Thorough understanding of the various types of animal feed, their ingredients, nutritional values, and applications
3. Problem Resolution: Promptly addressing and resolving any issues or complaints raised by customers, such as quality concerns, delivery delays, or incorrect orders. This may involve liaising with other departments such as production or logistics.
4. Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that all products and services comply with relevant industry regulations and standards and providing customers with necessary documentation and information.
5. Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers through regular communication, follow-ups, and proactive outreach. This includes understanding their unique needs and preferences to provide personalized service.
6. Sales Support: Collaborating with the sales team to identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling products, as well as providing support during the sales process by addressing customer inquiries and providing product information.
7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions, orders, complaints, and resolutions, and generating reports to track key performance indicators and customer satisfaction metrics.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
  • Exceptional attention-to-detail skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide a high level of response to customer / management inquiries.
  • Strong time-management and ability to multi-task prioritize effectively and triage problems accordingly
  • High level of computer competency including proficiency in Microsoft (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and customer information
  • Some BRILL knowledge as well as agricultural background is preferred but not required
  • College diploma (or relevant education) is an asset
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • The hours for this position are from 7:00am to 3:00pm and/or 9:00am to 5:00pm from Monday to Friday
  • Pay is hourly based on experience and ability of the applicant
  • Starting wage @ approx. $20-$25/hour depending on experience
  • 2 weeks holidays & access to health benefit plan after 3-month probationary period
  • A growing company with potential of growth within
  • This job requires extensive computer use
