Overview
MSALABS is an experienced global provider of geochemical laboratory services to the exploration and mining industries in Canada, the USA and around the world. We have a rapidly growing network of laboratories in key mining regions around the world to limit lead times and transit costs and we employ the latest hi-tech analysis equipment.
The Data Review Manager is responsible for the daily administrative and managerial decisions that impact the operation of the laboratory ranging from staff training and mentorship, purchasing, budgeting, methodology, information management, scheduling, communication, and safety.
We are looking for a dedicated and detail orientated self-starter who has the following skills and experience:
Duties
- Review and approve data and analytical reports from instruments to ensure accuracy
- Implement procedures and ensure quality control documents are maintained
- Oversee and ensure all rush jobs are completed within the required turnaround times
- Provide technical support and guidance
- Assist in drafting, developing, and validating new SOPs
- Identify and implement methods for cost savings and improved efficiency.

Experience
- Bachelor's of Science, with a major in Chemistry (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Data Manager or in a similar role
- Experience in managing laboratory process flows considered an asset
- Experience implementing and maintaining quality assurance ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025
- Experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of operation and implementation of WHMIS
