Responsibilities

• Provide the IT organization with a technical expertise in embedded systems engineering to promote the automation of the operations by developing, testing and integrating automated machinery, robotics and computer-controlled mechanical systems across Intelcom’s network.
• Implement the R&D workflow, that is to say:

o Explore and help define new opportunities for innovation by promoting automation of the operations across the organization;
o Investigate each opportunity of innovation by developing prototypes and proof of concept;
o Evaluate the feasibility of each opportunity of innovation by analyzing KPI and by validating initial assumptions vs the results obtained;
o Support the transition of opportunities of innovation from a proof of concept into Intelcom’s production environment;
o Implement a continuous improvement process.

• Conduct investigation on new technologies and methodologies and make recommendations that could improve the overall performance of the organization.
• Present projects and findings and support the transition of new technologies from a prototype to a production environment.
• Produce documentation and contribute to the development of Intelcom’s knowledge base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years of development and maintenance experience with embedded systems.
• Working experience with Agile delivery teams.
• Bilingual French and English is preferred.
