Académie de la Capitale (Acadecap International School) is a bilingual IB ® World School located in Central West Ottawa. We offer an international education based on the Primary Years Programme. Our Pre-Secondary and Secondary School Programmes promote in-depth study of the Ontario curriculum by means of the AC 21st Century Learning Curriculum©.
Académie de la Capitale is looking for French and FSL Teachers, preferably with IB PYP training and/or international teaching experience, but not necessary.

Requirements:

• Bilingual French and English, or French and other languages
• Bachelor’s Degree or significant experience in a relevant subject specialization
• OCT or completion of a teacher education program
• Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience
• IB World School teaching experience
• DELF training certification
• PYP or MYP and/or emergent curriculum and/or Montessori teacher training
• Strong professional writing and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of Défi mathématique and/or Singapore Math Dimensions
• Ability to differentiate assignments and environments for enhanced student learning
• Ability to motivate students to strive for excellence
• Ability to integrate relevant technologies into class activities
• Ability to collaborate and cooperate with other teachers and specialists
• Ability to pivot in a dynamic and diverse environment
• Maintenance of accurate and effective records
• Contribution to a professionally positive image of the organization
• Participation in continued professional development
• Valid vulnerable sector check
• Valid first aid and CPR certificate
• Legal working status in Canada
