A position has become available for a Forklift Operator based in Nisku, Alberta, Canada. ***Only candidates residing in Alberta will be considered for the position***
Forklift Operator:
Overview:
The forklift operator is responsible for moving goods around the warehouse and yard. As well as accepting incoming orders, processing, and packing orders, counting inventory, and ensuring orders are shipped in a timely manner. This role also acts as a warehouse personnel.
Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklift to move, load and unload material through facility using the appropriate safety measures
• Maintain and assist in completing inventory audits and records
• Clean up and dispose of scrap bracing, cardboard, strapping and place in designated containers/areas
• Move product manually if required, no lifting over 50 pounds.
• Other duties as required

Requirements:

• 1-5 years previous forklift experience with valid certification, preferably in the transportation industry
• General knowledge of safety standards and load securement for the transportation industry
• Knowledge of axel weight restrictions for loading would be an asset
• Good technology knowledge (computers, scanners etc.)

Position: Temporary, 3 month contract with the possibility of extension
Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
