General Accountant, Blue Ant Studios
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting and Planning, the successful candidate will assist the Senior Finance Manager with all financial functions of the Blue Ant Studios business.
Core Responsibilities & Duties

Financial & Management Accounting:

• Assist with all aspects of the month-end closing process, including working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate close in compliance to IFRS
• Assist Senior Manager with reviewing trial balances
• Assist with inquiries from Corporate Finance for additional reporting requirements and any questions that arise from the monthly review of the balance sheet and P&L
• Assist with preparing the monthly management actual vs. budget reports
• Monthly reconciliation of intercompany transactions between the production companies and the parent companies
• Assist with internal and external audit processes and controls as required
• Prepare bank reconciliations
• Other ad hoc tasks as directed

Key Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is an asset
• Enrolled in a Professional Qualification such as CPA is an asset
• 1-2+ years accounting experience is required
• Effective in managing deadlines and multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Experience using Net Suite would be an asset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (i.e., pivot tables, vlookups, sumif, etc)
