Company Introduction:
The Innovative Shapecasting Group is a custom aluminum foundry located in Cambridge, Ontario. At our facility we produce high-quality, high-integrity castings for a variety of market sectors including: Petro-chemical, nuclear, LNG, and military. We are currently looking for hard-working, innovative individuals to join our team.
Workstation: The Grinding Department is responsible for the grinding and finishing stages of the casting process.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Use a variety of hand tools (disc grinders, cut off saws, hammer etc.) to grind and chip castings to desired shape.
· Read and interpret work procedures to safely process and finish raw castings to meet customer specifications.
· Complete visual inspections of castings to identify any potential defects.
· Perform work duties in accordance with standard safety procedures.
· Ensure that workstation and tools are kept clean and organized.
Requirements:
· Access to a reliable vehicle.
· Legally eligible to work in Canada.
· Must have a strong work ethic, a team-player, and have strong attention to detail.
· Be comfortable with working inside the casting when required.
· Must maintain excellent attendance and dependability on the shop floor.
· You must be able to perform the physical requirements of this position, which may include bending, reaching, twisting, lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing, repetitive motion and other job specific requirements.
· Foundry/labourer experience would be an asset.
· Forklift license and crane operation would be an asset
Hours & Pay
· Mon-Fri: 5am-1:30pm (40 hours/week).
