Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Housekeeper for a residence located in the Forest Hills area of North Vancouver. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the residence. Rooms to be cleaned will alternate each day outside of core areas. This position is full-time, live-out. Monday – Friday, 7am – 3pm with some flexibility required to work the occasional evening or weekend with notice.
Candidate Profile:
You are an experienced and knowledgeable housekeeping professional with excellent housekeeping and laundry skills who enjoys keeping a clean and organized home. You are comfortable helping out with some basic meal prep in the kitchen and are happy working in a home with children. You communicate well and are comfortable working independently the majority of the time. You understand a home is a living environment, not just a workplace, and can easily adjust your daily schedule to accommodate activities in the residence.
Primary Responsibilities:

• Daily housekeeping to include making beds, dusting, vacuuming, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, washing floors

• Care of furnishings, fixtures, fabrics, finishes, and surfaces

• Basic meal preparation like cleaning fruit and vegetables

• Inventory management of the residence including cleaning products, toiletries, and the kitchen pantry

• Regular laundry and ironing

• Weekly clean of outdoor kitchen during the summer months

• Wardrobe management working with the principal, packing and unpacking

• Supervise trades and contractors as needed

• Ensure household security protocols are followed

• Answering the door, receive packages

• Light pet care as required from time to time, comfortable around dogs

• Sort and dispose of recycling, compost, and garbage correctly

• Errands and other tasks as needed like grocery pickup, package drop off etc.

Applicant Qualities:

• Excellent English communication skills and professional personal presentation

• Must have a valid Driver’s License

• Must be comfortable lifting 30 pounds

• Excellent housekeeping, laundry and ironing skills; correct use of products and methods for fine finishes and surfaces

• Must maintain privacy and confidentiality always, exercising diplomacy, discretion and respecting appropriate boundaries

• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
Flexible language requirement:

• Housekeeping: 3 years (preferred)
