Our client a leading manufacturer and they are actively seeking a Spray Painter to join their growing team. They are actively seeking candidates with attention to detail and good dexterity for the position of an industrial painter.
Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and preparing surfaces
- Preparing paints
- Use spray gun to perform Spray Painting
- Use measuring equipment such as viscosity cups, thickness gauges and gloss gauges to check the composition of the paint
- Use a variety of techniques and tools to paint surfaces
- Use spray equipment, airbrushes, stencils, rollers or brushes
- Responsible for choosing the best tool for the job
- Apply primers, prefinished and topcoats
- Use special safety equipment such as body suits or protective eyewear
- Carefully follow all guidelines for the safe handling and disposal of chemicals and hazardous waste.
- Maintaining painting equipment
- Understand any problems with the equipment and quickly find a solution
- Remove previous paint surfaces using masking or a chemical rinse.
- Painting small items and doing touch-ups.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Physical strength to perform the job
- Diligence and attention to detail.
- Excellent dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Good organizational skills.
- Good verbal communication.
