Job Description:
TD Auto Finance is a newly formed division within TD, bringing together the former Chrysler Financial business and TD Financing Services. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic & rapidly growing business focused on providing a robust array of automotive financing options to meet our customers' needs as well as the needs of our dealer partners. In Canada we also finance recreational and leisure vehicles, and serve the Prime and Non-Prime Auto market.
In the goal to become North America’s #1 auto lender we are over 2,500 people strong including an external sales team located coast to coast, as well as teams in credit adjudication, funding, Internal sales, loan administration, customer service, collections and recovery, and our federated functions of risk management, technology solutions, finance & human resources. Our offices are located in Canada in Toronto & Mississauga, ON, Brossard, QC & Nanaimo, BC and in the US in Farmington Hills, MI, Jacksonville, FL & Dallas, TX


Under the direction of the Regional Marketing Manager or Internal Sales Manager, the Internal Sales Representative is a sales and service consultant, responsible for establishing and maintaining productive, long term relationships with TDAF's dealer partners while focusing on business development in the assigned territory. The Internal Sales Representative will achieve targeted volume production by providing exceptional service on a transactional basis and coordinating with the external Area Manager to maximize opportunities within the assigned territory. The Incumbent performs all duties within established Marketing Policies and Procedures.

Provide exceptionally high levels of service and use effective sales techniques on a transactional basis to position TDAF as the best choice for TDAF’s dealer customers on each deal. Employ effective business development & relationship management techniques to assist in meeting or exceeding established volume targets for the territory.

  • Follow up on and provide dealer support for approvals issued within the assigned territory and effectively convey the dealer and consumer benefits of TDAF’s program to the dealer.
  • Liaise with the credit department and funding department to resolve any dealer concerns regarding individual transactions or any other relationship or service issues.
  • Design and implement a dealer contact cycle that ensures contact is made with each dealer within a specified period, is coordinated with the external Area Manager’s territory schedule, and is flexible to provide increased frequency for targeted dealer accounts.
  • Gather and maintain in TDAF’s CRM, intimate market intelligence for each dealer with regards to primary contacts, sales volumes, competitive preferences and other pertinent relationship data.
  • Monitor and look to increase TDAF’s registered dealer penetration in the assigned territory by maintaining accurate prospect and registered information in TDAF’s CRM and by using targeted phone sales techniques.
  • Monitor and look to increase TDAF’s submitting and funding dealer penetration in the assigned region through focused phone activity on targeted accounts.
    Provide exceptional and expedient service when called upon by dealer partners for any reason including dealer complaints or dealer issues.
  • Oversee the overall relationship with each dealer account within the assigned territory to ensure positive and progressive relationships with each touch point at TDAF.
  • Help prepare, validate and finalize new dealer sign up information. Communicate effectively to the dealers in the assigned territory, department management and other TDAF originations departments.
  • Communicate product and service changes, promotions and other TDAF information to dealer network in a timely and effective manner.
  • Effectively communicate TDAF competitive advantages on a transactional and broad basis to ensure proper product positioning within dealerships.
  • Develop and maintain strong knowledge of TDAF Credit & Funding policies and use the information to help communicate decision and policy info to dealer customers.
  • Carry out campaign assignments as outlined by department management.
  • Effectively communicate market intelligence with regards to the dealer network, competition, economic considerations, TDAF positioning and other pertinent data to the department management and to counterparts within the branch offices such as the Area Managers, Credit Officers and Funding Administrators
  • Complete assigned reports for department managers. Contribute to the success of the business and Marketing department through personal efforts to enhance own knowledge and skills; assist others in achieving common goals and objectives and maintaining a respectful, positive work environment.
