Functions:
IT Infrastructure:

• Design, implement, and maintain a robust IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud services.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, availability, and capacity.

Network Management:

• Ensure the efficient operation of the network to meet operational needs, including network architecture design, integration, and installation of IT equipment, and interfacing with external support as needed.

Support and Administration:

• Provide all aspects of support and administration for computer networks, including:
  • Advanced troubleshooting of desktops, servers, and network communication devices.
  • SAN administration.
  • VMware administration.
  • Software/hardware installation and troubleshooting.
  • User account and database administration.
  • End-user support in a Windows environment, including remote systems.

Security and Compliance:

• Implement and enforce best security practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., LAD, GMP).
• Regularly perform vulnerability checks and assessments to identify and mitigate risks.

Planning and Incident Management:

• Develop, maintain, and test disaster recovery plans.
• Ensure compliance with licensing requirements.

Technology Evaluation:

• Configure, install, and manage local network hardware and software, such as PCs, laptops, system software, software applications, printers, and scanners.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve infrastructure efficiency and effectiveness.

Project Management:

• Lead infrastructure-related projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with vendors and third-party services for procurement and support services.

Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent technical certification.
Between 5 to 7 years of experience in managing IT infrastructure, preferably within a regulated environment such as the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
Demonstrated experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), storage solutions, and server management (Windows and Linux).
Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CCNA, MCSE, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are an asset.
Windows Server administration, Active Directory management, Network troubleshooting and administration.
Experience in programming or scripting is desirable.
