Role Overview
Mc Elhanney Ltd. has an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in our Canmore Office, however location is flexible. This role is ideal for someone who is looking for a challenging opportunity in Mechanical Engineering projects from Passenger Ropeways, Ziplines, Conveyors and other mechanical design projects. The ideal individual will come with solid experience in metal fabrication and design, mechanical power transmission and wire rope engineering.
Responsibilities

• Provide preliminary and detailed design drawings.
• Site inspections for construction projects.
• Strong ability for self learning.
• Must be comfortable with self-directed problem solving
• High quality standards, attention to detail, effective verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to work well in a team environment.

Requirements

• 1 - 5 years experience in mechanical design with experience in Mechanical Power Transmission, Conveyors, Wire Ropes, Structural Design
• Experience with metal fabrication processes.
• Solid modeling software experience.
• Finite Element Analysis design experience
• Consulting experience an asset.
• Alberta or BC EIT
• Fall protection training
• Location flexible with Calgary and Canmore.

The salary range for this position is $79,000 - $110,000 per annum. Mc Elhanney offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individual’s education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications. The posted base salary/wage range is representative of the required level of qualifications and experience for the position as noted in the job posting. The salary offered will be based on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
