Our client is seeking a qualified Jr. Partner to join their Public Accounting firm. This is a Direct Hire role.
Qualifications and Responsibilities:
  • CPA designation is a must have.
  • Extensive management experience in a Public Accounting firm.
  • Able to perform review and tax plan notice to readers.
  • Able to fully understand corporate and personal taxes.
  • Extensive experience reviewing junior accountants’ work
  • Ability to manage larger audit and review engagements.
  • Ability to oversee preparation of Personal, Corporate, Partnership and Trust tax returns.
  • Ability to oversee preparation of tax compliance and information filings including T4, T5, EHT, HST and WSIB filings.
  • Proven experience ensuring that audit and accounting issues are properly identified and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Strong understanding of accounting technical standards relevant to financial reporting in Canada.
  • As needed, directly working with clients to co-ordinate the efficient completion of engagements, request necessary information, and review accounting transactions.
  • As needed, corresponding with CRA regarding corporate, personal, payroll, and sales tax issues.
  • Effectively communicating with the team, clients, and relevant government agencies
