Maintenance Scheduler - (Fly-In-Fly-Out)

Position Title: Maintenance Scheduler
Salary Range: $40-$50/Hour + Over-time

We are on the hunt for an experienced Maintenance Scheduler for a Contract position as part of the Mobile Maintenance Team at a Mine located in Ontario. This is a rotational operation, with a 2-week on, 2-week off rotation, requiring day and night shifts. We are looking for someone to support the maintenance of the mine's surface mining equipment, ideally with 3 years of experience as a maintenance planner/scheduler, coordinator, or administrator. Strong software skills in MS Office, SAP, or another ERP are helpful. Work hours are 12 per day, 14 days on. We provide travel services for your travel to site and return. Pay rate is $40-$50/hr plus over-time after 8 hours per day.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Safety of self and others;
  • Review planned work orders to ensure they are ready to be scheduled;
  • Schedule planned work orders for the Mobile and Fixed Maintenance by attaining feedback from the execution and operations teams and determining criticality;
  • Run the weekly scheduling meeting;
  • Communicating with multiple departments to arrange equipment accessibility;
  • Working with the Parts Coordinator, ensure all parts are staged for the upcoming schedule;
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Three (3) years of experience in a mining/industrial environment;
  • Three (3) years of experience planning/scheduling/administration;
  • Journeyperson Millwright, Welder, or Mechanic or Mechanical or Electrical Technician an asset
  • Knowledge of mobile equipment (Graders, Dozers, Loaders, Shovels, Rock Trucks, etc.);
  • Knowledge of mining processes and familiarity with heavy maintenance processes;
  • Intermediate computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel and Project);
  • Experience working with SAP;
  • Familiar with project management principles;
  • Must pass pre-employment medical, substance abuse test, criminal records check, hold a valid driver’s license, and provide a driver’s abstract and;
  • Have a proven commitment to safety, health and environmental standards.
