Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team in the role of Maintenance Technician at PEI Mussel King - a key position dedicated to maintaining and upgrading our equipment and facilities.
The successful candidate will require a strong understanding of industrial equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, with the ability to adhere to safety standards.
Job Accountabilities

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and machinery, while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Ability to install and maintain complex systems such as power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, using advanced troubleshooting techniques to resolve issues.
• Work proactively on the Preventive Maintenance plan from the Plant Manager, ensuring optimal performance and longevity of new equipment in alignment with operational efficiency goals.
• Participating in continuous training on best practices and new system operations, ensuring compliance with operational standards.

Qualifications

• A strong background in Mechanical/Electrical systems is preferred.
• Possession of a Refrigeration ‘B’ license is considered an asset.
• Have a solid understanding of hydraulic systems, pneumatics, and mechanical systems, with the ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Experience in ordering parts, managing inventory, and coordinating with third-party contractors.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems, and the ability to input data, generate reports, and analyze maintenance trends.
• Ability to operate a variety of hand tools and power tools safely.
• Physically fit and capable of performing all assigned duties – including lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.
• Must have access to a vehicle - operation is located 20 minutes outside of Charlottetown.

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS
PEI Mussel King is offering the following compensation/benefits for this position:
WAGE RANGE

• Starting at $28.00/hour (weekly payroll) - based on industry knowledge and experience.
• Full-time Permanent position - hours will vary based on industry/seasonal demands.
