Bio Agri Mix LP has been a leading Canadian manufacturer of animal feed medicants and other animal health care products for 40+ years. Our company is in Mitchell, ON, a rural community in Perth County close to Stratford, and centrally located to London, and Kitchener. Bio Agri Mix LP is a Health Canada licensed, FDA approved, HACCP certified manufacturer of medicated feed additives serving the Canadian market. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for Full-Time employment.
Benefits:
Starting hourly rate: $28.00 / per hour.
Day Shift Times: 7am to 3:30pm - Monday to Friday (5 – 8 hours shifts).
Overtime: 1.5 x hourly rate paid after working more than 40 hours in a workweek.
Health Benefits: Enrollment into the company plan upon completion of a successful probation period.
Holiday Bonus: $1,000 bonus for Full-time active employees. It will be pro-rated based on your start date and active employment days. This bonus will be paid in late December.
Job Duties / Requirements:
· Perform preventative, and emergency maintenance tasks.
· Assist and complete repairs to malfunctioning equipment, such as motors, pumps, valves, controls, and other machines.
· Responsible for installing and or dismantling machinery and equipment.
· Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic problems with associated equipment.
· The ability to perform some Mig welding on stainless steel is an asset.
· Perform some fabrication duties.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other diagrams.
· Capable of multi-tasking, as well as the ability to complete any required documentation.
· Must be capable of working off shifts and weekends as well as cover emergency call-ins, as needed.
· Ensure all health and safety policies, quality standards, and standard operating procedures are followed.
· Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and WHMIS would be an asset.
· Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
Educational Experience / Background
· 2 - 4 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance and or related field experience.
· Experience in the Food and Drug Industry is an asset
· A valid trade certificate as a licensed Industrial Millwright 433A is an asset
· TIG and Mig Welding on stainless steel experience is an asset
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, blenders, and packaging equipment
