COMPANY DESCRIPTION
OPTIK K&R Inc . is a privately held, Canadian corporation that manufactures, imports and distributes eye care products. All product sales are made directly to industry professionals across Canada such as opticians, optometrists, ophthalmologists and M.D.’s.
Some of the products provided by Optik K&R are: contact lenses, eyeglass (ophthalmic) lenses, frames and accessories. Both stock and custom lenses are available through Optik K&R. Custom contact lenses (both rigid and soft) are manufactured on site. In addition, eyeglass lenses are manufactured on a made-to-order basis.

JOB DESCRIPTION
You will assist the lens FINISHING and INSPECTION team on the Overnight Shift. Precise start and end times are flexible and negotiable. Typical shift is from 10:30 pm to 7:00 am.
Primarily you will be required to:

• Inspecting Eyeglass Lenses for visual defects and accuracy of prescription
• Operation of Lens Manufacturing equipment ; tracing, blocking, etc.
• Keeping work area clean

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

• Minimum 1 year in Optical (Ophthalmic Lab)
• Ability to use a lensometer.
• Enjoy learning, understand new concepts easily & the disciple to educate yourself
• An uncompromising standard of excellence ( Quality Conscious),
• The work ethic to get the job done and work independently in a fast paced environment.
• Excellent English communications skills
• Ophthalmic (contact lens, eyeglasses, etc.) experience preferred

Pay: $24.00-$32.00 per hour
