Campbellford Memorial Hospital (CMH) is a 34-bed health care facility located in Trent Hills Ontario. We serve approximately 40,000 Northumberland, Peterborough and Hastings County residents, as well as a large seasonal population of cottagers and tourists enjoying the beautiful Kawartha Lakes Region and the Trent River System.We provide a comprehensive array of acute care services including:4-Bed Special Care Unit Endoscopy Surgical Suite Diagnostic Imaging Department Laboratory Numerous Out-Patient Clinics24/7 Emergency Department Mental Health Clinic Geriatric Assessment and Intervention Network (GAIN)Supportive Housing.We have a highly engaged team of staff, physicians and volunteers who are dedicated to making CMH a great place to work and receive care. Duties

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
 Initial patient histories and performing physical examinations.
 Initiating, documenting and communicating the plan of care and follow-up to ensure complete
screening and preparation of patients.
 Performing daily patient rounds.
 Writing orders for medications, laboratory work and diagnostic tests. Interpreting laboratory and
test results.
 Confers with attending physicians, residents, nursing staff and/or other care providers to ensure
optimum quality of patient care.
 Upon discharge, notes discharge summaries, prescriptions and any referrals on patient charts.
Informs patients of the necessary post-discharge care instructions.
 Performs related duties, as required.


Requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
 Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program
 Certification from the Physician Assistant Certification Council of Canada (PACCC) current or in
progress preferred
 Flexible with strong organization skills and the ability to work efficiently to prioritize multiple,
competing tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
 Ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion, make decisions and take initiative while
working with confidential patient information and responding to patient inquiries
 Superior work ethic, professionalism and reliability; demonstrated commitment to providing
outstanding customer service
 Superior written/oral communication skills; excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills;
