MHSW-Moose Jaw delivers a mixture of BLS, ALS and MIH service delivery in both an urban & rural environment utilizing both on-call & on-site deployment. As the population & economy of the city and surrounding area of Moose Jaw grows, so does the need for paramedic service delivery & the professionals who deliver it. We are looking to fill up to two permanent part-time vacancies for Primary Care Paramedics. The position entails, but is not limited to the following:

Independent primary clinical care.
Safe transportation of individuals, including emergency and non-emergency responses, as well as inter-facility transfers.
Maintain and operate ambulances and related equipment in accordance with patient needs and public safety.
Clinical expectations and responsibilities for Primary Care Paramedics are based on the current National Occupational Competency Profile (NOCP), the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics registration requirements and Medavie Health Services West policies, procedures, and protocols.

As the ideal candidate for this role, you will have:

Must meet all legislated requirements for Primary Care Paramedics in Saskatchewan.
Must be currently registered with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics as a Primary Care Paramedic or eligible for registration through the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics. Candidates with restricted licenses will be considered, with preference to those with unrestricted licenses.
Must be in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics.
Must submit with resume a copy (front and back) of a valid Saskatchewan Class 4 Driver's License (or equivalent).
Must submit with resume a current ITLS and CPR C for Health Care Providers.
Must submit with resume a current (within last 60 days) valid and clean criminal record check.
Must submit with resume a current (within last 30 days) driver’s abstract.
Must demonstrate the ability to work efficiently as a member of the team and possess strong interpersonal skills.
Must be able to work all shifts as assigned, maintaining a good attendance record.
Must have a high regard for confidentiality.
Must have excellent work habits and exhibit professionalism

Currently working a 5-5-4 rotation that includes varying duty times of 6/8/12hr shifts with many opportunities for additional hours and overtime if/as desired.
