Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) - Alberta PCP and BC PCP

We are seeking a dedicated Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) registered in the province of BC and/or ABto join our field team. We are based out of Dawson Creek, BC . The ideal candidate will have a BC and AB PCP designation to allow you to work on both BC and AB projects.
Having Oilfield experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right individual.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide medical care in the event of an injury, illness or emergency within the scope of practice,
  • Represent Mountainview Safety Services Ltd. in a positive and professional manner,
  • Be punctual to job site/location,
  • Employee must be fit for duty, clean and presentable, and wear appropriate PPE as required
  • To be able to effectively handle and respond to stressful/emergency situation(s),
  • Sign in/out personnel on location,
  • Attend daily site safety/toolbox and operations meetings,
  • Assist in identifying any health hazards, near misses, and any work site hazards,
  • Complete daily JSA (job safety analysis),
  • Fill out daily paperwork (Safety meeting with head count, hazard identification, Medical ERP, accident/incident if applicable),
  • Complete daily inspections, inventories and checklists for – Truck, AED, MTC Jump Kits, O2 Kit & oxygen bottles and report any deficiencies,
  • Maintain cleanliness of truck, MTC, and all equipment,
Requirements:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reports to Operations Management / Field Supervision
  • Maintain certification and licensing requirements,
  • Complete client orientations and course requirements,
Skills:
  • Effectively organize and prioritize situations and activities ranging from urgent patient care issues to routine office duties,
  • Experience with heavy lifting may be required for patient care procedures,
  • Oilfield experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right individual,
  • Knowledge of medication administration protocols,
  • Excellent patient care skills
PCP License/certification requirements:
  • Registered as PCP (With AB / BC one of both)
  • OFA ticket in addition to PCP (Required for Work Safe BC work)
  • Class 5 driver's License with Clean Driver's Abstract
  • Valid H2S Alive - Energy Safety Canada
  • Valid CSO Certificate - Energy Safety Canada
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
Schedule:
  • 12 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Night shift
