Product Representative
Number of positions: 1 Job Location: Dunsmuir 05
Employment type: Temporary Region: Lower Mainland
Hours of work: Full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Flexible Work Role: Remote
Annual salary: $ 64,100.00 - 69,200.00
What you'll do
  • Provides delivery support for a wide range of multi-partner residential Energy Management programs, products and
services. Promotes and provides customer support for programs, products and services to customers.
  • Provides delivery support for a wide range of multi-partner residential energy management initiatives. Works with
department staff and other departments to plan, organize, coordinate and resolve issues to enable the delivery of programs,
products and services. Prepares and monitors delivery budgets, targets, costs, qualified product listings, inventory and
resourcing. Writing and updating program delivery policies, processes, guidelines and procedural maps.
  • Provides input and feedback for user requirements in the implementation of enhancements to energy management
applications with regards to functionality and related work processes. Carries out user acceptance testing for program
application database updates and enhancements to ensure changes meet user requirements, customer experience
expectations and business needs.
  • Provides contract management and administration support by: working with Program Management to prepare and
evaluate Requests for Proposals for external service contracts; processing contracts and invoices; resolving issues with
external service providers; monitoring contract status and spend; identifying and discussing how to resolve budget limit
expenditures with Program Management; preparing briefing notes on change requests for approval; and extending contract
terms.
  • Promotes programs, products and services to customers. Informs customers of promotional offerings from retailer and
government partners. Recommends ways to optimize energy usage by reviewing customers’ billing and consumption
history.
  • Provides customer support by: responding and resolving program, product and service issues related to billing, metering,
rates, tariff and rebate enquiries from customers, referrals or escalations from Customer Service groups within a specified
timeframe; working with IT Support, other departments or external contractors as required to resolve customer issues; and
assigning energy efficient product installation and quality assurance jobs to external contractors upon approval of program
participant application.
  • Prepares and provides analysis of activity, achievement, customer feedback, trending and other ad hoc reports on the
quality and effectiveness of energy management programs, products and services for management.
  • Identifies and recommends improvements to processes (such as escalations), procedures, guidelines and program
delivery to management.
  • Provides guidance and training on program processes, procedures, roles and related applications to new team members,
contractors, department staff, program partners, Customer Service groups and external agencies (such as other utilities and
government agencies).
  • Collects and records program, product and service participant paper applications into the program application portal and
follows-up with participants on incomplete submissions. Reviews applications to ensure accurate processing of customer
incentive and rebate payments.
  • Prepares and pre-approves customers, contractors and program partners for payment by reviewing and resolving
discrepancies prior to management approval. Resolves system errors with failed payments.
  • Performs duties of a minor nature related to the above duties that do not affect the rating of the job.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required:

  • Working knowledge of energy management department structure, processes, accounting management, programs,
policies, practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of energy conservation/management, programs and products (such as smart home products and how they
operate).
  • Good understanding of indigenous cultures, protocols and rights and their relevance to the operations of a hydro-electric
utility.
  • Good working knowledge and ability to organize and implement program/product/service launches or changes.
  • Good working knowledge and ability to deal with delivery related contract terms and invoicing issues.
  • Good working knowledge of project management, budgeting and cost control methods and techniques.
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of operational programming, data analysis, data types and definitions.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with internal and external energy management stakeholders (such as
non-profit organizations and Indigenous groups).
  • Ability to prepare and conduct presentations and training on program processes, updates and systems requirements.
  • Excellent researching and problem-solving skills required to resolve customer concerns and issues.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications (such as Word, Excel, Visio, Power Point, Share Point and Outlook).
  • Knowledge of corporate applications and databases (such as SAP, CCS, supply chain management system, energy
management applications and MS Dynamics).
  • Ability to investigate and perform troubleshooting for a variety of energy management applications.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team to resolve customer concerns and issues.
What you bring
  • Diploma in business administration or in an equivalent field; plus three (3) years of experience in a customer program
administrative role; OR an equivalent combination of experience, training and education.

  • Experience working with SAP CCS, Microsoft Office applications, supply chain management system, MS Dynamics
required.

  • In-house courses in relevant corporate systems and specialized coursework in areas such as customer-focused business
writing would be considered assets.

  • Please note this is a 18 months Full-time Temporary opportunity.

  • Works in a normal office environment. Occasional customer and program partner field/site visits. Occasional climbing of
ladders to move and lift storage boxes of light weight from filing shelves. What we offer
