QC Chemist - Packaging Testing

Job Summary:
As a QC Chemist at Nanz Pharma, you'll be responsible for testing packaging materials to ensure they meet quality and safety standards, performing analytical tests, and documenting results. You'll ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, and SOPs, oversee manufacturing and packaging processes, and manage related documentation. Additionally, you'll contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct analytical testing and evaluation of packaging materials according to established Procedures.
  • Ensure that packaging materials meet all required specifications.
  • Review and document test results and prepare Certificates of Analysis (Cof A) for packaging materials.
  • Maintain and calibrate analytical instruments used in packaging testing to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in the development and validation of new testing methods and procedures for packaging materials.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and 3rd Party labs for testing and validation of packaging materials as needed.
  • Participate in investigations related to packaging material failures or non-conformance and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain proper record-keeping and documentation in compliance with GLP and GMP requirements.
  • Support the QC Supervisor in ensuring the timely release of packaging materials for production.
  • Perform sampling of packaging materials.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory and ordering of laboratory supplies related to packaging testing.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs for new or updated testing procedures.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • Education: Minimum bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Material Science, or a related field.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong understanding of global c GMP/GLP requirements and QC systems related to packaging materials.
  • Familiarity with packaging material regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, EU).
  • Proficiency in using analytical equipment and techniques for packaging testing.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in diverse settings.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Experience: 2 - 4 years of experience in quality control or analytical testing in the pharmaceutical or related industry, with a focus on packaging materials.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
