CASSEN Testing Laboratories is a premium and advanced laboratory in chemical analysis with a strong focus on research & studies within Canada. Located near Pearson International Airport, we have a state-of-the-art laboratory facility. At CASSEN Testing Laboratories, we offer an exciting career in chemical testing for environmental health studies, forensic investigation, occupational exposure determination, specialized testing, chemical studies in various matrices and contract research.
We are looking for an experienced Chemist with the ability to conduct chemical studies and prepare reports efficiently especially in the field of organic chemistry. This position is responsible for the initial design, execution, experimental and interpretation of data and reporting. Additional responsibilities include providing guidance to the technical team, reviewing report results and accuracy, and responding to technical queries.

We are looking for an experienced Chemist with the ability to conduct chemical studies and prepare reports efficiently especially in the field of organic chemistry. This position is responsible for the initial design, execution, experimental and interpretation of data and reporting. Additional responsibilities include providing guidance to the technical team, reviewing report results and accuracy, and responding to technical queries.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for conducting specialized projects to meet deliverables and turnaround time requirements;
- Develop and document experimental approach to complex analytical projects prior to the start of projects, and submit the approaches for review;
- Conduct method development and validation using appropriate instruments and procedures;
- Prepare the interim and final study reports including all aspects of the assigned projects;
- Conduct characterization studies of bulk materials for both organic and inorganic species;
- Provide observations and written interpretation of the studies;
- Troubleshoot instrument issues, and perform instrument maintenance;
- Adhere to strict health and safety procedures and policies;
- Perform other duties as required
- A Ph.D. degree in Chemistry or related field, such as Organic Chemistry, Material Science, Polymer Science or Engineering with a strong emphasis in chemistry; A M.Sc, degree with strong diverse chemical experience will also be considered;
- Strong investigative, interpretive, and problem-solving attributes with excellent oral presentation and technical writing skills;
- Minimum 5 years of laboratory and chemical research experience;
- Familiar with analytical techniques having previously conducted in-depth chemical research;
- Ability to provide technical direction in a multi-functional team;
- Highly organized, independent, motivated, problem- and solution-driven chemist
