The Enterprise Risk Analyst supports the Manager, ERM in developing, maintaining and overseeing Canadian Tire Bank’s enterprise risk management program to ensure that risks across the business are mitigated to an acceptable level. Using your strong relationship management and analytical skills, you will work with business partners across the Bank and Canadian Tire Corporation to maintain robust processes for identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring and reporting on risks.

Support the Manager in the maintenance of an enterprise wide risk management program, including tools and processes for identifying, measuring, monitoring and reporting on risks on an enterprise-wide level.

Support the Manager through the utilization and/or facilitation of various operational risk management tools and processes, such as the new initiative risk assessment process, the internal and external loss tracking/monitoring and the scenario analysis exercises.

Maintain a detailed database of risk issues and loss events while assessing trends and monitoring outstanding issues until appropriate mitigation strategies are implemented.

Work with business units to establish appropriate processes and controls and provide ongoing risk management expertise and insights.

Support the management of the Bank’s Cross-functional Risk Committee (CRC) by coordinating work plan activities, organizing meeting agenda and materials and providing updates on risk management activities.

Support the Manager in the preparation of regular reporting to the CRC and the Board of Directors.
What you bring
-
1-2 years of work experience, preferably at a Canadian financial institution. Experience in risk management, internal audit or equivalent business experience is considered an asset.

University degree or college diploma in a business related discipline.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
-
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
-
Well-developed organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities.

Demonstrates initiative and learns quickly.
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Visio, and Power Point.
-
Exposure to Canadian banking and associated regulations is considered an asset.
