Experience our new hotel in the in the Muskoka Region, offering business, group and family-friendly accommodations. Located near Muskoka Wharf, enjoy effortless access to shops and restaurants. Opening Fall of 2024, the complex features 110 guestrooms and suites, intimate meeting/event space, and a range of amenities including complimentary full hot and cold buffet breakfast, indoor pool, business centre, market, ample parking and outdoor patio.

THE ROLE:
BECOME A PART OF A NEW DYNAMIC TEAM -The Sales Manager is responsible for cultivating account relationships in order to maximize revenue. The incumbent will be responsible to strategically source and secure both transient and group opportunities to maximize on revenue opportunity.
ACTIVITIES:
The duties of the Sales Manager include, but are not limited to the following:
- Implements effective sales and marketing strategies to maximize the generation of hotels’ sales/revenues.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients in order to produce both transient and group business for room and event sales.
- Assist in the development and update of the hotel-level business plans to include input on sales goals and plans that support the overall business and sales strategies of the company.
- Develop quarterly action plan that addresses priorities and goals and achieve sales activities.
- Participate in business and industry related organizations, representing Hotel in a professional manner.
- Coordinate and participate in sites and industry / trade functions and shows.
- Utilize Property Sales System to track, solicit and follow up on accounts.
- Participate in prescribed Hotel/Brand training and special projects.
- Be independently responsible for achievement of all objectives outlined in the action plans and budget.
- Utilize the Hotel’s Social Media Platforms to promote the Hotel in a Sales and branding capacity.
- Ensure effective yield management for group bookings produced and contracted.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required.
- Responsible for day-to-day duties of prospecting accounts, account development and site inspections.
- Acknowledge and monitor competition's sales and marketing strategies and collect market and competitive intelligence to assist in developing strategic plans.
- Other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
- Diploma in Hotel Management Studies
- Marriott experience a definite asset
- Previous 2-3 years professional experience in the hotel industry
- Demonstrated experience in achieving revenue goals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- In-depth knowledge of computer programs
- Dynamic temperament and exceptional organizational and communication skills
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
- professional experience in the hotel industry: 2 years (preferred)
