Job Description

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a full-time, permanent outstanding early career scientist with expertise in either preclinical or translational neuroscience, or both. The "Koerner New Scientist' position offers a competitive salary and considerable start-up funding, as it is funded thanks to a major 5-year philanthropic gift. The successful candidate will play a pivotal leadership role in building a research program in translational neuroscience to study the neurobiological bases of psychiatric/neurological disorders and treatments.

The successful candidate will be required to establish local, national, and international collaborations, and provide practical supervision of undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate trainees as well as technical staff.
CAMH is fully affiliated with the University of Toronto and the successful applicant will need to obtain academic affiliation with a university department at the Assistant Professor level.
The successful candidate will support and contribute to a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork, and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements. This position is located at 250 College Street, Toronto, Ontario.
