Fort Garry Industries has an exciting opportunity for a Shipper/Receiver to join our team at our Winnipeg location.
What You Will Do:
- Oversee the shipping and receiving of products
- Verify parts orders to ensure they are correct before shipment
- Verify shipments received against shipping documents
- Prepare shipping documents for outbound products
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors
- Stock and maintain inventory items in designated warehouse storage areas by restocking shelves and moving parts as necessary
- May secure cargo to vehicle (manual or forklift)
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or other high school equivalence certificate
- Minimum of 1 year of general warehouse experience or shipper/receiver experience preferred
- Excellent customer service skills - dedicated to exceeding the expectations of customers
- Strong written and verbal skills - ability to write and speak succinctly with customers and colleagues
- Basic to proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn in-house systems
- Experience operating a forklift an asset
- Valid class 5/G license with 3 years of Canadian driving experience an asset
- Clean driving record containing no more than 3 incidents in 3 years or any major incidents an asset
- Heavy duty parts knowledge or background an asset
