As a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) Shop Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective scheduling of maintenance tasks while maintaining accurate records and handling various logistical responsibilities. Your duties will involve overseeing shipping and receiving processes, maintaining inventory accuracy, driving to designated locations to deliver clamps, gaskets, and other products to customers, and serving as the main technician in the shop, specializing in welding and other technical tasks related to DPF systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise:
· Serve as the main technician in the shop, demonstrating expertise in welding and other technical tasks related to DPF systems.
· Conduct regular equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
Efficient Maintenance Scheduling:
· Schedule maintenance tasks efficiently to minimize downtime and optimize workflow.
· Prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance to ensure timely completion.
Accurate Paperwork Management:
· Ensure all paperwork related to maintenance, repairs, and logistics is accurately completed and up to date.
· Upload relevant documentation to One Drive or similar platforms for easy access and organization.
Logistics Handling:
· Handle shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries of DPF components and equipment.
Inventory Management:
· Take ownership of inventory accuracy by conducting regular checks and updates.
· Assist with inventory management tasks such as ordering supplies, tracking usage, and optimizing stock levels.
Customer Interaction and Communication:
· Engage with walk-in traffic, addressing inquiries, and providing assistance as necessary.
· Act as the branch's main point of contact for internal and external communications.
Collaboration and Training:
· Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
· Provide training and guidance to new technicians to ensure smooth integration into the team.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Drive to designated locations for deliveries.
- Safely handle the picking of clamps and gaskets for deliveries, ensuring products are securely loaded for transportation.
- Perform additional assigned duties as required by management.
- Ensure strict compliance with driving rules and regulations at all times.
- Follow all safety protocols when operating a vehicle and performing other duties.
- Participate in safety training sessions and actively promote a culture of safety awareness among colleagues.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) repeatedly throughout the day.
- Stamina and physical endurance to spend significant time driving and performing delivery tasks.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, and precipitation.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and inventory management.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers, colleagues, and management.
- Problem-solving abilities to address unexpected challenges during deliveries or service tasks.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Adaptability to changing schedules and job responsibilities.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
- Customer service experience with a focus on building positive relationships and identifying opportunities for upselling.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to driving and warehouse operations.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues from various departments.

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
