Hydraulic Shop Coordinator

Reporting to the Shop Manager, the Service Coordinator will play an integral role in improving product quality, streamlining process to improve efficiencies and ensuring service and Production items are completed on time and within budget. This position is primarily responsible for providing quotations within the established guidelines and excellent customer service. Role entails a good mixture of coordination and administration tasks.
General Responsibilities:
- Quotation review to ensure details are accurate and pricing is correct
- Communicate quotation timelines and order status’ to customers as required.
- Communicate order status, process improvement and related issues to management
- Manage multiple orders or projects at various stages both service and production
- Oversee / coordinate materials procurement, provide sourcing alternatives where required.
- Provide recommendations to shop and management on scope of work with options to suit customer requirements
- Develop work instruction and source parts/component information that supports the technicians on the shop floor
- Continuous improvement to identify daily working process issues in an effort to create effciciencies
- Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with Management, Shop personnel
- Develop expertise relevant to the production and repair process in order to support peers and colleagues.
- Work with Management and colleagues to refine existing process and quality program
- Clearly communicate quality issues, identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to management
- Plan orders with drawings and OEM information as required to streamline production process, decrease component costs and increase labour efficiencies.
- Provide/Develop work instructions for production items and repairs necessary to support the Applied customer base and service requirements
- Support shop personnel and management to ensure Applied meets specific customer requirements and standards
- Collect, review and assemble service and production turnover documents as required
- 5+ years Fluid Power Experience
- Ability to communication effectively
- Computer knowledge
- Knowledge of quality management systems
- Ability to prioritize and number of tasks and complete a variety of work assignments within structured deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Customer Service orientated
- Demonstrate sound judgment
- Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic systems and components in a service environment
- The ability to effectively communicate technical findings in writing and verbally.
- Ability to clearly communicate work instructions to shop personnel in order to document and preserve evidence of failure.
- Able to work within a team environment and develop relationships with team members
- The ability to work safely, lead by example and to contribute to overall company safety.
- Fully operational with Microsoft Office environment. (Word, Excel), SAP experience considered an asset.
- Experience in a hydraulic service and repair industry considered an asset
As per British Columbia's Pay Transparency Act, the anticipated salary range for this role will be $60,000-$90,000/year (salary will vary based off years of experience, skills, and expertise).
