We are looking for:
Onsite position Niagara region (Ontario, Canada)
Reports directly to the Maintenance Manager
Weekend/Evening work may be required during special circumstances (shutdowns, critical breakdowns)
- Individual accountability for team HSE, Quality, Productivity, and Manufacturing Excellence objectives
- Ensure all aspects/standards of the Responsible Care Safety Program are met
- Leader of Site Planned Maintenance Shutdown events overseeing planning, scheduling, execution and post shutdown reviews of the major, routine maintenance outages Overall responsibility for the safe, timely completion and cost performance of the shutdown
- Provide leadership and guidance to the shutdown team and all participants during the planning and execution phases of the turnaround
- Create, manage, update, and report on outage readiness on an ongoing basis
- Work with the relevant personnel to develop a consolidated turnaround schedule which includes all operations, maintenance, engineering and project tasks
- Ensure that a process for controlling scope changes is in place. This includes ensuring that any post-cutoff date changes to scope or schedule are approved by the appropriate authority
- During execution of the shutdown, monitor and manage all elements of the shutdown, including Safety, Environmental, Security, Cost, Schedule, Inspection and Work Quality
- Initiate, hold, and document progress meetings, including relevant metrics/KPIs, schedules, and gaps
- Intervene wherever necessary to prevent and deal with safety, cost, and schedule problems Complete a post-shutdown evaluation, recommending changes to procedures, standards, practices and ways of working
- Minimum of 8 years progressive experience in Operations or Maintenance at an Industrial Chemical Manufacturing facility, Petrochemical processing operation or Nuclear Power Generation station
- Minimum of 5 years of direct experience leading complex shutdown activities
- Engineering degree; Chemical, Mechanical, Process or Maintenance Systems.
- Experience in complex project management, PMP considered an asset
- Extensive knowledge of Primavera P6
- Sound knowledge of SAP
- Expertise in work scheduling, planning and execution processes (shutdown, maintenance, operations and capital projects).
- Building effective teams across functional boundaries Leadership and conflict resolution
