We are currently recruiting for a Skilled Labourer for the Sussex Residential Tower Project in the Lower Mainland!
This $135 million dollar project is in the heart of Metrotown in Burnaby, BC and includes 285 units. The building also features a 4-storey wood framed building providing 53 rental units, located above a 4-level underground parking garage.
The position offers a great opportunity for long-term employment and works a Monday to Friday schedule with the possibility of overtime-afternoon, evenings/weekend work.
Responsibilities:
- Traffic Control duties (signage, delineation, and directing traffic) - Certificate required
- Painting
- Assisting with concrete formwork, stripping formwork, chipping of concrete
- Dewatering
- Site organization
- Using various power tools (knowledge & experience with)
- General site cleanup and housekeeping
- Assist with other duties as required
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the construction industry
- CSTS/ WHMIS Certificates
- Fall Protection Certification required
- Traffic Control Certificate considered an asset
- Operating Certificates an asset (Telehandler, Skid Steer)
- Ability to bend, stretch, lift, push, pull and carry
- Capable of learning through on the job training
- Reliable transportation
