The Analyst position is an entry-level role within the JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group, Greater China, designed for individuals with a passion for the hospitality industry. This role offers a unique opportunity to conduct advisory and asset management projects, while also taking on additional responsibilities that contribute to the team's overall success. The Analyst will work closely with the team to provide valuable insights and support various projects and initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive research on economic indicators, travel and tourism industry trends, market guest mix, hotel performance indicators, and operational benchmarks to support advisory and market studies.
Perform detailed analyses of hotels and resorts, focusing on financial performance, market positioning, and competitive landscape.
Support the team in preparing timely and professional proposals for clients, incorporating market intelligence and strategic recommendations.
Draft quarterly industry reports and whitepapers at required times, providing in-depth analysis and insights on key trends and developments in the hospitality sector.
Assist in researching and drafting client reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information presented.
Document departmental meetings, capturing key discussions, decisions, and action items for future reference.
Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned, demonstrating a proactive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the role.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in hotel or tourism management, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred but not required.
Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin, with strong communication skills to effectively convey ideas and information.
Proficient in Microsoft Power Point, Excel, and Word, with the ability to present complex data and analysis in a clear and concise manner.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, solve problems, and pay attention to detail.
Knowledge of hotel brands, Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI), real estate valuation, and financial modelling skills preferred but not required. Willingness to learn and develop these skills is essential.
