Key Responsibilities:
1. Process and review invoices for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
2. Enter invoice data into the company's accounting system, ensuring timely and accurate posting of transactions.
3. Make electronic payments to vendors, ensuring timely settlement of accounts payable.
4. Reconcile vendor statements to ensure all invoices have been properly recorded and paid.
5. Address and resolve discrepancies and inquiries from vendors and internal departments.
6. Maintain and update vendor information in the company's accounting system.
7. Assist with monthly and quarterly financial reporting and analysis.
8. Collaborate with other departments to improve Accounts Payable processes and procedures.
9. Stay up-to-date with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.
Key Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role, preferably within a retail or similar industry.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
6. Attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy and timeliness.
7. Knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting principles and standards.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.
